For the third time in only two years a project with LAMBERTS LINIT U-profiled glass has been awarded with the highest architectural prize, the AIA Honor Award, which is issued by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) annually.
After the projects Nelson Atkins Museum of Art by Steven Holl Architects and the Shaw Center of the Arts by Schwartz Silver Architects in 2008, the international renowned Prize was among others assigned to the project SERTA International Center in Chicago, Illinois (USA), in which 2.000m² of toughened and Heat-Soaked LAMBERTS LINIT U-profiled glass were applied on a large scale. Partially these glasses were provided with a special sandblasting to achieve a higher illumination level of the interior.
In the explanatory statement, the jury especially accentuates, that “the building epitomizes the workplace of the future and provides employees with a bright and inspiring environment.”
